Arturo Herrera holds an M.F.A. from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He recently had one-man shows at the Hammer Museum at UCLA and at Brent Sikkema Gallery in New York, and was featured in the 2002 Whitney Biennial as well as “Painting at the Edge of the World” at Walker Art Center and “Locating Drawing” at Houston’s Lawing Gallery. He has created commissioned works for the Whitney, the Institute for Contemporary Art, Philadelphia, and the Worcester Art Museum, among others.
