Until Heintzelman produced "Vigneron" in 1933, "Three Score and Ten" was considered by many as his finest print. In 1920 it was awareded the Logan Purchase Prize by the Chicago Society of Etchers in an exhibition at the Art Institute of Chicago; in 1920 the Barnett Prize by the Brooklyn Society of Etchers; and in 1921 the First Prize of California Society of Etchers.
