Eduardo Ponjuan is considered among the leading contemporary artists working in Cuba. Ponjuan is interested in recycled materials as a medium for the creation of art. In the works included in Por diversos conceptos, a series of objects are printed on vintage accounting paper intervened by the artist. His drawings have been described as emerging from the lined paper as if an affirmation of the ability for art to overcome restrictions and limitations. In this work Ponjuan illustrates familiar objects in a manner of personifying and bringing life to them.
